Today was a very important day in the life of the KC Chiefs. Michael spent most of the day checking up on the free agent draft choices.... and the results were some he seemed very happy about. Matt Cassel was traded to KC as the new quarterback. I like to pretend I know what's going on. It's crazy to think we will be MARRIED by the time the season begins.

I have a confession:

I get sucked into reality TV shows WAY too easily. I have been a very loyal viewer of the 13th(!!!) Season of the Bachelor. I'm glad it's almost over, so my Monday nights will be free. It will be a nice break, and depending on who the bachelorette is next time, I may not watch it. So, I hope they pick Molly or something and then I won't be tempted. I'm rootin' for Melissa, even though I really liked Jillian. Was this even blog-worry? I think so.

I love Sundays.

Today was a nice, relaxing day. We went to small group, then finished up the "fireproof" series during church, went to the mall and I got my ring cleaned (it looks soooo shiny and sparkles more), went to Lowe's to buy a handle for our side tables that Michael is refinishing, got Culvers to go, and then I took an amazing nap on Michael's couch. What a great day!

The side tables are way cute. We found them at Ozark Treasures (a flea market in Springfield) and we got an amazing lamp on Valentine's Day. I will definitely be sharing photos later.


But, for now, it's time for bed... ugh, waking up at 5:15 AM for work is still not easy for me.

I miss this...

Two blogs in one day, I know. It's almost tomorrow and I should be sleeping. I was browsing through some old photos and absolutely cannot wait until it's Springtime and the grass is GREEN and it's enjoyable to go to parks. This was a fun day (a long time ago) with Anna, my roomie & bridesmaid! Also, check out how long my hair was!!!! I want that back, please and thank you.

meet my beautiful horse, fancy. i got her when i was in 5th grade, but how fun would it be to ride off on horseback after the wedding? totally reminds me of runaway bride, but i'm not running. and, michael's not too fond of riding horses, so it won't happen. but, the idea is neat.

i haven't thought too much about what the kids will wear in the wedding, but i'm thinking perhaps a bow tie for the ring boys. they would look precious.


now, back to studying lovely history. blah.

today i went on a walk and it was glorious. i fell in love with my neighborhood all over again.

i was worried while walking that i would miss the delivery man.

michael MADE this. i was pretty impressed.

we haven't decided on what color of stain/paint we are going to do yet.
it's the future home of most of our dvd's/blue ray discs and just some odds & ins decor items.

25 things.

The thing to do on facebook is now the "my 25 things" so I've decided to do "25 things about my wedding" Enjoy!

1. The date is August 8th, 2009

2. My colors are canary yellow, a couple of shades of blue (navy and light), with some white accents

3. I'm marrying my best friend.

4. As mentioned in another blog, I'm a two dress bride. I ordered my second off the internet.

5. I'm also a two bridesmaid dress... we ordered the first from Urban Outfitter. The dress I *believe I'm sticking with is from Alloy.

6. We are getting married in a church in the country. It's Church of Christ. We are Baptist. But, it's cute and has a barn in front. The chapel is being built right now and we haven't even seen the finished product. I'm sure it will be perfect.

7. We want our guests to have fun and enjoy our day with us. So, it will be laid back and not formal.

8. Michael is making the Save the Dates... hopefully they will be done soon!

9. We have 2 flower girls and 3 ring boys.

10. I love all my bridesmaids.

11. Michaels groomsmen are cool too.

12. We were going to have an indoor reception.

13. Now, weather permitting, it may be outside. :)

14. My ring pillow was Michaels parents in their wedding.

15. I'm adding yellow ribbon to it.

16. I can't decide on what color of shoes I want.

17. I'm a no veil kind of girl.

18. I can't wait for him to see me in my dress.

19. My sister is my MOH. Sean is his best man and is also singing and playing a musical instrument. It will be a surprise.

20. I love my wedding planning book from Target.

today, was a sad day.

i met a real life "a walk to remember" story. i did not like it one bit. but, he was so sweet to her. their love for one another was so evident.

i'm a two-dress-bride.

It was the ONE, but then it was not. My mom bought the dress for me and then I looked back at pictures of me in it. The dress looked so different and I didn't like it. BUT, luckily, I have found two that I like a lot. They are more of the style I wanted to begin with.

In other news, my nephew turned one and my sister and I did an adorable party for him.
