garden of the gods

garden of the godsgarden of the godsgarden of the godsgarden of the godsgarden of the godsgarden of the godsgarden of the godsgarden of the godsgarden of the godsgarden of the gods

we drove past the garden of the gods a lot while staying in colorado springs. it's such a pretty area. sometimes we would drive out of the way back to where we were staying just to drive through. i had never been and i loved carrying elle through and seeing her look up to see the big rocks.

we're back to reality now in missouri. michael started back to work today and i missed him like crazy. it was such a treat to spend so much time together. we had a blast and i have about a thousand pictures to prove it. it's kind of nice to be home, but i wish we could have brought some colorado weather back with us.

i'll be sharing our colorado adventure in different posts. i'd say elle's first real vacation was a success! she traveled amazing and only put up a fight going to sleep the first night. we were concerned about the altitude for her, but it didn't seem to bother her one bit and we made sure to keep her very hydrated. the pictures from the trip are special to us and they will be fun to share with elle someday.

  2. beautiful pictures and family. i've never been to colorado, but it looks amazing. i'm sure the weather is better than the humid heat of NC!

    1. You should visit someday! It was still pretty warm in Co Springs, but when we went a little north is was perfect weather! The humidity in Missouri is pretty bad, too.
