New friendships. New thoughts on life. New waves hello and goodbye, finger pointing, pretty curls, and stair climbing.

This morning I met up with a local blogger. It was our first time meeting, but it felt like I was catching up with a dear friend. She has the sweetest spirit.

My baby girl decided to climb on the little jungle gym. I've always kept her away from the stairs in our house. But, little miss climbed right up there with such ease. I told Naomi that I feel like I hover too closely sometimes.

She's 9 months old and I just want to protect her from everything. Life is full of adventures... even at 9 months old. I want her to experience new. So, I'm going to try to relax a bit and let her explore (read: as long as it's safe and I'll still be close by.) I'm so looking forward to all the adventures we'll have together.

I don't want to tell her no all the time. She's in such a curious stage. I know there has to be boundaries and limits set, but I'm learning to let go of being so uptight and letting her be a baby. I grew up with verrry laid back parents. And I loved my childhood. So, here's to being relaxed and not stressing over the little things!
